1. Goto admin panel --- general -- Manage Forums.

You now see a screen like this.

In the box marked Add new Forum add your new title, then click the Add New Forum Button, like Below.
Click on the edit button


You will now see this screen



To make this a new category make sure you have the following set like below.

Forum type: Category
Parent forum: No Parent

You now need to set permissions, the best thing to do for the moment is to copy the original settings (Your First Category).

Now click Submit.
